About the Artist

Alys are small mammals from the genus Flockus alimonious. They are endemic to the Californian coast, but are occaisionally known to migrate for work. Their typical habitat includes a computer desk and tablet, often surrounded by coffee mugs and Netflix. Alys are most active in the afternoons and evenings, and may be dangerous if disturbed while sleeping. If you encounter a feral Aly in the wild, do not panic; they are more afraid of you than you are of them. If necessary, they can often be placated with fermented beverages and pictures of baby animals.

Okay but Serioiusly

I graduated from Laguna College of Art and Design in '09. I currently work as a freelance illustrator and as a concept artist for Nerd Kingdom. I live in San Fransisco with the world's dumbest cat. Things I won't shut up about once I get going include whatever book/game/show I'm currently in the middle of, minute details of the Star Wars expanded universe, how cute bunnies are, and neuroscience.

For inspiration, I look to these lovely artist-type folks: Mary Blair, Eyvind Earle, Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Hiroshige, Ivan Bilibin, Paul Cadmus, J C Leyendecker, Claire Wendling, Nico Marlet, kozyndan, Emily Carroll, Ann Marcellino, Natsu Tomo, Maya Kern, and lots more.
